What is a Notary Public?

An individual empowered by the government to witness signatures on legal documents. In Ontario, documents are typical notarized by lawyers licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Notarial services Include:

A) Affidavit, Solemn Affirmation

– Affidavit to transfer ownership of vehicles
– Affidavit for professional accreditation
– Affidavit for insurance claims
– Affidavit of service
– Any other Affidavit Required by Law
– Any Affidavit/Solemn Affirmation or Solemn Declaration you wish to make
– Translator’s Affidavit

B) Statutory Declaration

– Statutory Declaration Confirming Identity
– Statutory Declaration of Marital Status
– Statutory Declaration re: Ownership of Property
– Statutory Declaration re: Lost, Stolen or Damaged Passport
– Any Other Statutory Declaration Required by Law

C) Consent to Travel Document

– Notarization of Consent to Travel Document for when a child is traveling without one or both parents
– Multiple children can be included in one document
– Each person giving consent must sign in front of the Notary
– The person travelling with the child does not need to appear
– ( Note: We don’t draft Consent to Travel documents; we only notarize them )

D) Invitation Letters

– Letter of Invitation in support of a visitor’s visa to Canada
– We can draft an Invitation Letter for you if required

E) Notarizing/Witnessing a Signature
